Christmas Appeal 2007
Anglicare WA would like to thank the Western Australian community for their generosity over the Christmas period.
‘We were overwhelmed by the response to our 2007 Christmas Appeal” said Ian Carter, CEO of Anglicare WA.
“Our Christmas Giving program was inundated with donations of food and toys, and our fundraising exceeded expectations which is fantastic!”
Anglicare was able to assist 1,200 families through the Christmas Giving program with hampers of food and toys, bringing a little joy to those who would otherwise have gone without.
Over 70 volunteers, including teams from PricewaterhouseCoopers, Wesfarmers, Worldwide Online Printing, Burswood Entertainment Complex, Ernst & Young and IBM worked with Anglicare staff to deliver the program which ran during the two weeks leading up to Christmas from the Swan Districts Football Club.
Once again this year the Special Needs Children’s Christmas Party played a major role in providing toys for the Christmas Giving Program, giving parents and grandparents an opportunity to select a gift for their child.
Anglicare would like to thank the Swan Districts Football Club, the Special Needs Children’s Christmas Party, our volunteers, parishes, schools and everyone who donated food, toys or money to the Appeal.
Thank you for you support. Together we can make a difference.
