Aboriginal Communities

Anglicare WA believes people can thrive in strong communities. Being part of a healthy community helps people to grow, connect and feel a sense of belonging which leads to better lives and social outcomes.

We help people to connect with their communities, provide activities for children and families in local parks, and work alongside Aboriginal communities to develop their capabilities.  

We empower and support people to create positive changes in their community.

Uluru Statement from the Heart

Anglicare WA recognises the voice of Aboriginal and Torres Strait people as expressed in the Uluru Statement from the Heart and stands beside them in their call to establish a Makarrata Commission to enable a fair and truthful relationship between all Australians.
