Counselling and mediation service for people who are caring for a family member with a disability
Anglicare WA is funded by the Federal Government to provide the following services for anyone who is caring for a family member with a disability.
Planning for the Future
Anglicare WA is able to offer advice, information and referral to assist families who have a family member with a disability to start thinking about the future and making plans. This can include:
- Information regarding legal and financial advice, and
- Information on how to deal with conflict associated with potential relationships breakdown and cultural and generational issues that may arise.
Counselling
Anglicare WA provides a quality, confidential and respectful counselling service that assists individuals, couples and families to work though issues and make decisions for the future that are the best suited for the individual, their family and loved ones. These may include:
- Issues relating to the care of a family member with a disability
- Make decisions for future care arrangements for a family member with a disability
- Grief and loss
- Relationship issues
- Separation
- Couple conflict
- Parenting
- Managing your emotions
Family Mediation
When families are in conflict regarding present and future decisions mediation can offer a safe and supportive environment in which all parties can share their concerns and explore solutions.

Contact can be made directly with our service or a referral can be made by your service provider or other professionals. Location and contact details.
Cost
There is no charge for this service.
Who Can Use This Service?
This service is available for anyone (parents, guardians, grandparents) caring for a family member with a disability.
