Parent and Adolescent Counselling Service

PARENTS are you at your wit's end trying to parent your teenager?

Parent and Adolescent Counselling Service (PACS) can help you explore new parenting strategies and stress management to get you through the difficult times.

Wondering where your sweet little boy/girl went?

PACS can provide information on adolescent development to improve understanding of your teenager's behaviour.

TEENS are you finding it difficult to talk to your parents?

PACS can offer you the opportunity to gain new skills in "parent speak" and build confidence in speaking to others.

Asking yourself why your parents never understand your point of view?

PACS offers a non-judgemental service that specialises in hearing teenagers' points of view and encouraging them to find effective ways to express themselves.

Relationships between parents and adolescents can be volatile, funny, exhausting, embarrassing, and confusing – for both sides!   Where, as a parent, do you go for a “shoulder to cry on” and help with your teenager?   Where, as a teenager, do you go to for understanding from an adult and help with your parents?

Parent and Adolescent Counselling Service uses a family systems approach to encourage all family members to understand their own, and other family members', needs in a safe, non-judgemental environment and to explore new and more effective ways of communicating their needs to each other.
