Marooloo Counselling Service

The Marooloo Service provides culturally appropriate support and education to children, individuals, families and communities affected by child sexual abuse, as well as other forms of trauma and abuse.

How the service helps

The Marooloo Counselling Service provides support to children and young people between the ages of 5-25, and their families, who have been impacted or are at risk of trauma and abuse. Support may include case management, advocacy, safety planning and trauma-informed psychotherapy for individuals or groups.

The Marooloo service specialises in child sexual abuse and can facilitate educational workshops on the topic of Protective Behaviours to individuals, families and the surrounding community.

All services are provided free of charge.

Locations

The Marooloo Counselling Service is Derby-based, however outreach can be provided to surrounding communities including Looma, Pandanus Park and Mowanjum.

The program can be phoned on (08) 9191 0100. The central office is open from 8am to 4pm Monday – Friday.
