Last year Anglicare WA, in partnership with Ngala, was successful in its bid to provide a number of parenting services around Western Australia for the State government.
Anglicare WA will provide parenting services in the Kimberley, Peel, Southwest and Goldfields-Esperance regions with Wanslea working with the organisation to lead the work of Parenting Connection WA in the Great Southern and Wheatbelt regions. Ngala will provide services in the Midwest, Gascoyne and North West Metro regions.
This innovative partnership is known as Parenting Connection WA, which offers a new approach to supporting parents in communities right across the State.
The partnership will commence from April 2017, with the goals remaining the same: for parents to have the knowledge, skills and confidence to be the best parents they can be.
Over coming weeks, Anglicare WA and Ngala will be seeking feedback from community groups and individuals to identify their unique service needs. The purpose of this consultation is to develop and maintain quality services that are tailored to best suit each region.
Parents, community groups and service providers are encouraged to get in touch with Parenting Connection WA if they have any questions about how, when and where this will unfold in their community.
