What is the Royal Commission Support Service? 

The Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse is running from 2013 to 2017. During this time our Support Service can assist anyone affected in anyway by the Royal Commission.

This can include:

  • Information about the Royal Commission and options for participating in it
  • Support to make a written submissions or engage with the Commission by phone or in private
  • Counselling and emotional support
  • Support for professionals affected by the work of the Royal Commission
  • Networking and referrals
  • Guidance, information and resources for professionals in their work with clients
  • Culturally appropriate and accessible support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, people with disabilities and CALD clients


  • You do not have to make a submission to the Royal Commission in order to receive the support services offered by Anglicare WA

Anyone affected by the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse. This can include:

  • Anyone (directly or indirectly) impacted by the sexual abuse of children while in institutional care
  • Victims
  • Witnesses
  • Family and friends
  • Whistle-blowers
  • Perpetrators
  • Service providers
  • Other professionals
