| Bill Hassell AM JP Bill is Deputy Mayor and Councillor of the City of Nedlands and is a lawyer by profession. In the 1970s Bill became the State Member for Cottesloe in the Western Australian Parliament, subsequently a Minister of the Crown, then Deputy Leader and Leader of the Opposition in the 1980s. Bill is a Life Member of the Liberal Party. Bill became the Western Australian Agent in Britain and Europe from 1994 to 1997 and his work has been recognised by several honours including the Order of Australia and the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.
