Keny Miya Housing First Support Service

The Wardandi Noongar name 'Keny Miya' means One Home/Shelter. We work with families and individuals experiencing chronic homelessness in the Bunbury area.

What is Keny Miya?

Keny Miya works alongside people in Bunbury experiencing chronic homelessness to secure long-term, stable housing and to maintain their tenancies with individual support as needed.

We can advocate and refer to housing providers including private rentals, community housing and Department of Communities housing.

We understand that securing a home is just the first step and we are there to support people to maintain their tenancy and work with them throughout their journey.

In collaboration with local community services, we work together to offer a range of services for people based on their individual needs.

  • Food & clothing
  • Showers & washing facilities

Referrals to:

  • Alcohol & drug counselling
  • Rehabilitation spaces

Support to access

  • Health care
  • Identification documents
  • Mental health care plans
  • Specialised homelessness services
  • Personalised support to meet the needs of each person experiencing chronic homelessness
