To find out more about when support groups are being held please contact ARBOR on 1300 11 44 46. To ensure Participants are attending the support group most appropriate to their needs, they will need to attend an initial assessment with one of the ARBOR counsellors prior to attending a group.
Men's Group
A free Men's Support Group for men who are grieving the death of a loved one to suicide.
- Learn how to grieve in a way unique to the Participant
- Learn how to support and understand other family members
- Share experiences with other people who understand
Grief can be painful and overwhelming. ARBOR specialises in support services for people who are grieving the loss of a partner or family member to suicide.

Eight Week Support Group: Recently Bereaved
A small group setting for those who have been bereaved by suicide between three months and two years.
This is an understanding group in a confidential setting and a valuable way to gain information about suicide and the unique issues and experiences associated with bereavement following a suicide.
Participants have the opportunity to develop resources to assist with this experience as well as spend time and communicate with others who have also been bereaved through suicide.
This group runs several times a year and we require that Participants meet with one of the group facilitators before attending.
Yarning Support Group
Held with the ARBOR Aboriginal Project Officer, in a culturally safe and supportive environment, ARBOR offers a Yarning Support Group. Participants can share stories of journeys of grief, look at Aboriginal culture and history and strategies to reconnect with support networks and country.
