Who we are

Anglicare WA is a leading not-for-profit organisation that helps people in times of need. We play an important role in building strong relationships, families and communities. We provide support, counselling and advocacy for people struggling with poverty, domestic violence, homelessness, grief, mental wellness and other forms of crisis or trauma.

Our organisational values are inclusion, trust, compassion, respect, empowerment and courage. These values shape our organisation and are at the heart of everything we do.

Anglicare WA provides almost 90 different types of social service across Western Australia, supported by more than 500 staff and 250 volunteers.

Anglicare WA is highly regarded by the people we assist and those who provide grants and donations to allow us to carry out our work. We work with people from all walks of life – from Balgo in the far North, to Albany in the South, to Kalgoorlie in the East, from street corners to the halls of Parliament. We influence policy makers and work with MPs to help ensure that government systems and social institutions meet the needs of the community and ensure equitable access to everyone.

Anglicare WA offers to walk alongside people in their personal journey, helping them to rise. We do not discriminate against anyone who seeks our assistance, and we carry out our work in a spirit of reconciliation between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people.
