Applying to Work with Anglicare WA

We are committed to making our job application process as simple as possible. We want to give you the chance to shine and have your knowledge, skills and experience recognised. We are committed to providing an inclusive recruitment process and are ready to accommodate accessibility needs.

Step 1. Application

When you apply for a role with us, we like to see

  • a resume that outlines your experience and
  • a cover letter, where you share why you are the best applicant for the role.

This is your first introduction to us - it’s about helping us to get to know you and sharing why you would be a great addition to our team.

We’ll also ask you to answer a few screening questions when attaching these documents. The job advertisement will provide an outline of the role, please contact us if you have any questions.

Step 2. Video Screening

If we shortlist you for an interview, we’ll ask you to complete a video screen.

You will be asked to record your responses to a set of questions - this is your chance to let your personality shine!

We are committed to an inclusive experience for all candidates, so if a video screen doesn’t work for you, just let us know. Our recruitment team will work with you to find the best way to complete this step.

Video screens will be reviewed by the recruitment panel to identify who we would like to progress to the next step - a face-to-face interview.

Step 3. Interview

During your interview, you will meet the recruitment panel, and we’ll gain a more detailed understanding of your skills, knowledge and experience.

We’ll ask questions to assess your understanding of the role and capacity to perform the relevant tasks and duties. Where possible, we like to conduct interviews in person. If we can’t, interviews will be conducted virtually using Teams.

This step is about you getting to know us as well, so this is your chance to ask any questions you need to about the role, the team you might be joining and the organisation.

We are really proud of our organisational culture and are always happy to talk about it! Once we’ve had a chance to interview all selected applicants, we will make a decision about who our preferred applicant is.

Step 4. Checks

If you’re the preferred candidate, we’ll check your references.

We will also ask you to provide copies of any qualifications, licenses or clearances that are needed for the role.

Providing a copy of a current National Police Clearance is a requirement of every role. We know everyone’s journey is different - a criminal history won’t rule you out from being considered for a role. We will need to discuss it with you, so we can decide whether it’s possible to offer you employment with Anglicare WA.

Step 5. Welcome and Onboarding!

It’s time to get excited!

You will receive an offer of employment, and once it is accepted, your onboarding journey will begin. We want you to feel welcomed and prepared from the moment you sign your contract.

We hope this will be the start of a long and rewarding career with Anglicare WA!
