As part of our vision to create a just and fair Western Australia where everyone can thrive, Anglicare WA’s Student Wellbeing Service aims to build the confidence and resilience of children and young people through school-based programs, available on request. With these skills, they can remain engaged and connected to school, fulfil their potential, and become active members of their communities.
All of our Student Wellbeing Officers are equipped with contemporary knowledge and experience of the issues facing children and young people, and the highest standards of professional practice.

Who is this service for: School students in primary or secondary public schools across WA.

Costs: Funded by the Department of Education, the service is free for students and families, with schools using their funding to access confidential support from Student Wellbeing Officers.

Waitlist: No waitlist, students talk to the SWO at their school.

Youth Work support for students alongside student services teams in WA public schools.
School wellbeing officers play a vital role in enhancing student wellbeing by working alongside Student Services Teams in WA Schools participating in the program. These teams typically include school psychologists, chaplains, student support officers, and Aboriginal and Islander Education Officers (AIEOs), all contributing to a holistic support system for students.School students in primary or secondary public schools across WA.
Student Wellbeing Service support is for students in WA public schools who might need help with friendships, feelings, school stress, or just someone to talk to.
Student Wellbeing officers are there to listen, support, and help you feel safe and connected at school. They work with your school’s wellbeing team to make sure you get the right help when you need it.
