WHAT WE’RE ASKING FOR: 

  • Ensure a liveable income above the poverty line for all Australians, improve minimum wage settings and raise the rate of income support to $82/day 

  • Improve employment services and pathways so they are personalized, flexible and place-based 

  • Provide universal access to high quality early childhood education and care 

  • Boost provision and access to financial counselling and coaching 

  • Ensure broadband is an essential service and emergency, utility, rent and transport relief are boosted and targeted 

WHAT’S BEEN PROMISED BY THE MAJOR PARTIES: 

  • $58M invested in new Free TAFE courses and apprenticeship supports (25 Feb 2025) 

  • $89M to fund WA Student Assistance Payment (3 Feb 2025) 

  • $250 for every secondary school student 

  • $150 for primary and kindergarten students 

  • $37M expansion of the School Breakfast Program from two days a week at 500 schools to five days a week at 650 schools (3 Feb 2025) 

  • $33.8M for free full-time kindy for four-year olds (3 Feb 2025) 

  • $15M for major expansion of before and after-school care at WA primary schools (3 Feb 205) 

  • $2.2M to expand Hardship Utility Grant Scheme (HUGS) eligibility to social housing water bills (31 Jan 2025) 

  • TransWA fares discounted by 50% (23 Jan 2025) 

  • $2.80 flat fare across entire Transperth network (19 Jan 2025) 

  • $34M to increase Patient Assisted Travel Scheme (PATS) fuel subsidy from $0.26 to $0.40 per km and expand eligible services (16 Jan 2024) 

  • $33.7M to boost Regional Pensioner Travel Card and deliver Country Week Assistance Program (11 Jan 2025) 

  • Package for Older Western Australians (28 Feb 2025) including: 

  • $28M to double Seniors Cost of Living  

  • 25% funding uplift for financial counselling services contracted by Dept. of Communities to support seniors in navigating financial stress 

  • Energy relief (reverse Labor’s electricity tax, saving West Aussies $676) 

  • Housing security (Downsizing Incentive Rebate and Housing Infrastructure Investment Fund) 

  • Safeguards to prevent financial abuse and neglect 

  • Grandcarers Support Scheme annual payment tripled   

  • $140M to boost GP numbers, support GP practices and fund free GP visits (11 Feb 2025) 

  • $19M to provide dental care across our regions (22 Jan 2025) 

  • $34M over for years to increase Patient Assistance Travel Scheme (PATS) payments to $0.40/km and $26M over four years to increase overnight accommodation allowance to $150/night (17 Jan 2025) 

  • WA Libs to save families $700 by cutting Labor’s energy tax on families (1 Dec 2025) 

  • Substantially boost the Boarding Away from Home Allowance (BAHA) and introduce travel allowance for boarding families, providing much needed financial relief to families in remote and rural communities (10 Feb 2025) 

  •  $100M to boost Patient Assisted Travel Scheme (31 Aug 2024) 

  • Praise for Labor Battery Scheme and commitment to push for expansion with Renewables for Renters initiative and Solar for Apartments scheme (23 Feb 2025)

  • Greens public education push: fully fund WA public schools, reduce class sizes and teacher workloads, no voluntary fees, and provide free school lunches for WA students (4 Feb 2025)
