During the last year Anglicare WA celebrated 50 years of supporting the people and communities of Western Australia. This provided us with the opportunity to reflect on our past and to imagine a better future. As part of this reflection, we revisited the original principles drafted in 1975 to guide the work of our organisation. One especially sparked our interest, it read;
Any service should have as its basis the understanding that Social Welfare includes the responsibility of identifying social issues and their causes, and for working for changes within society which advance personal growth and social justices.
While the language might have changed over the last 50 years, this principle is as strong today as it was in the 1970s. The flame that was sparked back then can be traced through the last 50 years and still burns bright at Anglicare WA today. This report provides a snapshot of the work we have done over the last year. It talks about how we have helped individuals in need of support, how we have changed systems that cause hardship and how we have built an organisation with the strength to continue the work which commenced over 50 years ago. We pay thanks to the members of our Board, the Executive team and all our staff, volunteers and partners who collectively enable us to achieve the great things contained in this report.

In 2025-26, we reached 104,233 Western Australians across 100 services over 172 locations, an increase of 1,252 people reached compared to 2024-25.
In total, we supported 62,752* people through direct service provision and engaged with 41,481 people through community capacity building events, initiatives, innovation projects and school education programs.
*If a client attends multiple services, they will be counted once for each different service they attend.
What we earned
This year, Anglicare WA generated total income of $94.5 million – government grants 83%; donations 10%; other/investment/fees 7%
What we spent
Total expenditure for the year was $88.7 million – employment costs 71%; subcontractor costs 7%; depreciation 3%; rent 2%; IT/communications 3%; client 2%; vehicle and travel 2%; other 10%
Overall financial result
Following several years of significant investment in strategic initiatives and organisational capability, Anglicare WA delivered a strong financial result in 2025-26. The organisation recorded a surplus of $5.8 million, compared to $0.5 million in 2024-25. The increased reserves position Anglicare WA well to continue sustainably investing in innovative solutions and responding to the needs of vulnerable Western Australians in the years ahead.

Anglicare WA’s Strategy 2030, Thrive Together, sets a bold direction for the organisation as it works toward a just and fair Western Australia where everyone can thrive. The strategy focuses on five interconnected goals to drive positive outcomes for those in need and challenge the barriers to thriving.
Through strong partnerships, lived experience, advocacy, innovation and a commitment to continuous improvement, Strategy 2030 positions Anglicare WA to create lasting social impact while empowering people, communities and staff to shape a more equitable future for Western Australia.

Anglicare WA delivers services across many Countries in WA, from Balanggarra Country in the North to Minang Noongar Country in the South.
