Educating Students to Navigate Real Life Challenges
Standing Together is Anglicare WA’s dynamic school-based program for years 7–12 designed to equip young people with the skills, knowledge, awareness and confidence to navigate real-life issues that matter. Through engaging in-person presentations and/or interactive online learning, students explore topics like healthy relationships, financial literacy and social inequality – all within a safe, supportive environment.

How It Works
These program modules can be:
- Engaged with annually, allowing students to build on their understanding year after year. Each session introduces new concepts and deepens previous learning, supporting long-term development of empathy, awareness, and practical skills.
- Engaged with as a series, allowing students to build on their understanding, covering multiple topics within a defined period, such as a school term.
- Delivered as a one-off presentation, providing a meaningful standalone experience that introduces key ideas and encourages reflection and action.
This flexible format allows schools to tailor the program to their needs, whether integrating it into a broader curriculum plan or spotlighting specific issues at key times during the school year.
Standing Together is available free of charge to all Western Australian secondary schools.
