Empowering Students to Lead with Empathy

Standing Together (formerly It Only Takes One) is a school-based program that helps students learn how to make a real difference in their communities. Through this program, students gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence to become changemakers—people who care deeply and take action to help others.

Awareness, Education and Empowerment for Social Change

By connecting with Anglicare WA through the Standing Together program, schools become part of a wider movement committed to social justice and community care.

Students get the chance to:

  • Explore real-life issues in a safe and supportive space
  • Learn from experienced community service professionals who work every day to support others
  • Take part in meaningful projects that reflect their values and foster learning beyond the classroom.

Standing Together is more than just a program - it’s a way for schools to live out their values of compassion, leadership, and active citizenship.

Students don’t just learn about social issues—they take action in ways that are respectful, thoughtful, and empowering.
