Anti-Poverty Week is a national initiative that brings people together to raise awareness and take action to end poverty and hardship in Australia.
Anti-Poverty Week will be held from 12–18 October 2025, with a focus in Western Australia on unlocking potential. We know that when people are supported to overcome poverty, their talents and aspirations can be realised—creating stronger families, communities, and opportunities for all.
No Place for Poverty is a growing social movement of West Australians who believe our state has no place for poverty — not in our hearts, not in our economy, and not in our potential. It brings together people from all walks of life to confront poverty as a shared challenge, and to champion solutions that restore dignity, fairness, and opportunity.
As a key supporter of No Place For Poverty Anglicare WA encourages you to download their Anti-Poverty Week promotional kit, available here via Dropbox. With ready-to-share social media tiles and caption suggestions you can add your voice to push for fairer systems, so that every West Aussie can reach their potential.
Here’s how you can help:
- Share the tiles on your social media channels during Anti-Poverty Week.
- Tag @noplaceforpoverty and use the hashtag #APW25 to amplify your post.
- Pass it on - share this kit with one more person or organisation in your network.
It only takes a moment, but the ripple effect will be powerful. Every post, every voice, every action helps remind WA that poverty doesn’t belong here, opportunity does.
