About
The SOAR Plus Program (which stands for 'Support, Opportunity and Resilience for Youth') helps young people aged 16 to 24 years with mental health challenges, including those with co-occurring alcohol and drug issues, who need short-term support to manage day-to-day living alongside transitional accommodation. With SOAR Plus, young people can stay in the accommodation for up to three years or until they turn 25.
The program offers a variety of support services that help meet individual goals and needs, including support with everyday skills, maintaining safe accommodation, participating in community, social and economic life, as well as accessing other services.
Our aim is to improve young people’s wellbeing and help in their recovery, supporting them to become more independent and have better quality of life. With our support, young people develop an Individualised Recovery Plan which is a guide to a young person's goals and how they would like to be supported to live well in the community.
