The upcoming state election is an opportunity to vote and have an impact in shaping what the next four years will look like in Western Australia. To make your vote really count, Anglicare WA has created a list of tips for how to be an informed and engaged voter.

Find out who you can vote for by finding your electorate
Learn about the candidates in your electorate and the issues they support and oppose
Learn about key election issues in addition to the issues you care about (e.g., cost of living, climate change, education, housing, etc.)
Think critically about and analyse the information at hand
Choose the candidate whose views match your own and who you think will do the best job
Go out and vote
Stay engaged after the election by keeping up with the news and keeping track of the winning candidates
